Out to eat in Houston
We are at a restaurant in Houston. We had lost my grandmother the week the picture was taken. My dad called me at work and said, "If you want to say goodbye to your grandmother, you should come now." My bosses told me I could not leave. I was sitting in the green room crying when Jan Yanehiro, who worked at channel five for years, and who lost her husband to cancer said, "Les, who cares what they say? But if you don't go now, you will regret it the rest of your life." I caught a plane that night. The family spent a few days together afterwards, and this is one of them.
